ISO and Aerospace Standards We Support

Every management system standard sets out what good looks like for a particular kind of risk: product quality, environmental impact, worker safety, information security, business continuity, or the way organisations work together. The requirements are published and freely available to read. What takes experience is turning them into a system that fits the way your organisation runs, and that stands up to a certification body without becoming a paperwork exercise.

Hillscom supports implementation, certification readiness, transition and ongoing maintenance across the standards below. Most of them share the same Harmonized Structure, which means they can be run as one integrated system rather than several parallel ones. If you need more than one, that shared structure is usually the biggest opportunity to save effort.

Quality

ISO 9001 is the international benchmark for quality management and the foundation most other standards build on. The 2026 edition is now published, with new emphasis on quality culture, ethical behaviour and planned change.

AS9100 adds the aviation, space and defence requirements that prime contractors and their supply chains expect: configuration management, product safety, counterfeit parts prevention and first article inspection.

AS9145 sets out Advanced Product Quality Planning and the Production Part Approval Process for aerospace and defence, increasingly flowed down by major customers.

Environment, Health and Safety

ISO 14001 covers environmental management, now updated for 2026 with explicit climate, biodiversity and life-cycle expectations.

ISO 45001 covers occupational health and safety, built around worker participation and hazard control.

Information Security and Resilience

ISO 27001 is the information security management standard that customers, insurers and public sector buyers increasingly ask for.

ISO 22301 covers business continuity: keeping critical activities running, or recovering them quickly, when something goes wrong.

Collaboration

ISO 44001 gives a structured framework for collaborative business relationships, from partner selection through to managed exit.

Not sure which standard you need?

It usually depends on what your customers are asking for, what sector you operate in, and where you are heading. A short conversation is normally enough to work out which standards matter now, which can wait, and whether an integrated approach makes sense from the start.
