How much time can we book?

We are flexible and will work around your requirements, which means we can support you at short notice for the odd day or two, or something longer-term can be agreed if you wish.  We are well experienced at remote support through MS Teams or similar applications.  This is a massive advantage because it means we are there to join your meetings with ease, and enables us to support nationally.

Typical Options:

  • 5 Days per week support through a contract (6-12 months typically). Maternity leave etc.
  • 1 or 2 days a week/month as required.
  • Ad Hoc support, including remote support via phone or Teams.
  • Remote and Hybrid support as well as onsite where possible.

Do consultants work direct or through an agency?

Either, Hillscom are happy to provide consultancy direct or through an agency of your choice.  The advantage of working directly with Hillscom is that you cut out the middleman and save the fee’s, however some organisations prefer to work through an established agency.  But this doesn’t mean you necessarily have to sign a contract and commit to 5 days a week.

IR35 rules for contractors

Hillscom always work outside of IR35 and for longer-term contracts where a role is being covered such as Head of Quality for example, we have used external staffing agencies to provide sufficient assurance between the two parties, combined with the client’s internal HR this always works well.  We have several trusted Interim staffing agencies that we can recommend if you need support with this or would like a no obligation discussion to understand the process.
